Voltaren Osteo Gel is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that works by blocking the production of natural substances in the body that causes pain. It is used for the relief of muscle pain, back pain, rheumatic pain, and osteoarthritis. Voltaren Osteo Gel can be applied at home or on the skin. Voltaren Osteo Gel is a topical analgesic gel and can be applied directly to the skin or applied in the form of a pill. Do not use Voltaren Osteo Gel if you are also using a topical pain reliever (gel) such as Ibuprofen, Naproxen, or others to treat arthritis. If you are using a topical arthritis medication, avoid applying Voltaren Osteo Gel 2 hours after it has been applied to the area where the pain is localized.
